VACEAptitude TestMy tests

VACE Discovery · Classes 6–10 · Pilot

An aptitude test to help you plan your next step.

Find what you do well, what needs practice and what you enjoy. Try age-appropriate reasoning, science and maths questions, then get a personal report to discuss with your parent or teacher.

40 minutes for Classes 6–7 · 55 minutes for Classes 8–10 · No negative marking
Plus an untimed interests reflection. A student account is needed to save your progress and report.

Why take an aptitude test?

You do not need to have your future figured out. This test gives you a starting point: see how you approach unfamiliar problems, where your current understanding is stronger and what to work on next.

For parents: use the report to ask better questions and support learning—not to label your child or decide their career from one test.

What you get after the test

Your strengths and practice areas
Feedback on reasoning, maths and science from the questions you attempt. Unanswered areas are marked as limited evidence, not a weakness.
Your interests and next steps
A separate look at what you enjoy, ideas to explore and a four-week learning plan.
A report you can keep
Download a PDF, review answer explanations and discuss your next steps with your parent or teacher.

Choose the test for your current class

Pilot programme: papers open class by class after academic review. Choose your class to check availability and read the instructions.

Classes 6 & 7 · Foundation Explorer

Explore patterns, reading, everyday problems, maths and science. Build learning habits and keep your options open—there is no NEET/JEE recommendation at this stage.

45 questions · 40 minutes + interests reflection

Classes 8–10 · Academic Pathway Explorer

Explore reasoning and current science and maths readiness. Class 8 keeps the focus broad. In Classes 9–10, your answers and interests may suggest pathways to discuss—not a final choice of exam or career.

60 questions · 55 minutes + interests reflection

From questions to a plan

  1. Sign in, choose your class and read the instructions with a parent.
  2. Try a practice question, then take the timed aptitude test.
  3. Answer optional interest questions without a timer or right answers.
  4. Read your private report, download the PDF and choose what to practise next.
A learning snapshot, not a verdict. This pilot aptitude test is not yet a validated psychometric assessment. It does not measure IQ, predict NEET/JEE selection or decide which career is right for you. Prior teaching, language and test conditions can affect your results. No national rankings or compulsory counselling.
