Discovery pilot · Notice version 1

Your learning report is private.

Read this with your parent or guardian before starting the guided pilot.

What is saved

Your VACE account identifier, selected class, consent acknowledgement and time, question version, answers, review marks, start/deadline/submission times, optional interest responses and generated report. Existing account details remain part of your VACE student account.

Why it is saved

To resume an assessment, apply its deadline, produce a reproducible report and let you review it later. Answers and reports are stored in VACE’s configured database. They are accessible through your authenticated account. Authorised VACE administrators can review your account details, saved responses, completed learning reports and optional interests to provide academic guidance and support. Reports are not public; they should not be used to label a student’s fixed ability.

What is not done

This feature does not send answers, interest responses or scores to advertising platforms, create a public leaderboard, request marketing consent, record your camera or microphone, or decide your school stream. Downloading a PDF creates a copy on your device; anyone you share that file with can read it.

Keeping and deleting data

Pilot reports currently remain in your account until removed by an authorised operator or account deletion; there is no automatic expiry schedule in this preview. Use Contact VACE to request access, correction or deletion. A guardian can contact VACE with the student account email; never send your password.

Taking part is optional

You can leave questions or interest statements unanswered and stop at any time. The timer continues after starting, and saved answers remain until deletion is requested. The consent checkbox is an acknowledgement, not verification of a guardian’s identity. This pilot requires parent involvement; it is not ready for unattended campaigns aimed at children.
